Day 5: Antigua. Mostly flat. In a drought. Hasn't rained since December. Amazing beaches. Terrible maps and road signs. Friendly locals. Cameron spoke their language. Probably why they were so friendly! Rented dune buggies from Pineapple Express. Found our way to Long Bay. Best beach of this trip. Best beach of my life (so far... ). Devil's Bridge. Pretty cool. Bought necklaces and yummy drinks from women there. Lost the lock. Found it when we got home! Half Moon Bay. Pretty. Not as pretty as Long Bay. Good snorkeling. Not enough time. Missed several things we wanted to see. Drove back to port. Crazy traffic. Made it alive and on time. Shopping. Boarded ship. Dinner in the dining room. No lobster tonight. Lobster tomorrow! We will be there. Hung out in the library and looked at future cruise options. Bedtime.

Caraibbean Vacay Day 4
Day 4: St. Lucia. Mountains. Rain Forest. Lush and beautiful. Long bus ride up winding mountain road. Cameron got the short seat. Lots of poverty. Happy people. Treetop Adventures Zipline in Dennery. 12 lines. SO much fun! Amazing staff. Especially loved Winnie, Daniel and Kenny G. Pouring Rain. Didn't matter. Michele's super funny sad face. Dancing bus driver. Taxi ride to Pigeon Island. Almost crashed. Didn't. Phew! Mark decided to buckle, actually tie himself, up. Paid to use the restroom. Snorkeling and swimming. Good, but not great. Back to port. Grumpy taxi driver. Quick shopping. Boarded ship. One minute to spare. Went to see Red. Not playing. False advertising. Went to Ice Show instead. Decent. Really liked the guy spinning around in the wheel on the ice. Dinner at Johnny Rockets. Hit the spot. Worth the cover charge. Shuffleboard. Bedtime.

Caribbean Vacay Day 1
Cameron and Michele both turned forty this year so, in celebration of these monumental occasions, the four of us decided to go on a Caribbean Cruise. We flew into Puerto Rico, spent a day exploring the old forts and city of San Juan, and then boarded the ship for a fantastic week at sea and on the Islands. It was amazing! The best trip of my life (so far... ). Each day was a new adventure and I loved every single minute of it. I took notes in my phone during the week so I could keep each day straight. It is a good thing I did because it got a little confusing as the week went on!
Day 1: Woke up at the Verdanza Hotel. Somehow ended up in a room that had not been updated and the bathroom was atrocious. Managed to take a shower. Breakfast by the pool at the hotel. Tartac Omelet and Belgian Waffle. Yummy. Beautiful Sunshine. Left luggage with front desk. Checked out. Taxi ride to old San Juan. Explored Castillo San Cristobal (an old fort). Really cool. Austin would have loved it. Spent time in the city. Good shopping. Food Trucks. Strawberry and pineapple shakes. Taxi ride back to hotel. Picked up luggage. Taxi ride to dock. Boarded ship. Adventure of the Seas, here we come! Dinner at the Windjammer. Took our dork cups with us. Second dinner in the Dining Room. Both bad ideas (dork cups and two dinners). Never doing either one again! Met Aveenash and Ghazi (our waiters) and Jeremy (our stateroom attendant). Explored the ship. Played Shuffleboard (the wrong way). Ended up on the helipad and reenacted the famous Titanic scene on the front of the ship. Went to "Welcome Aboard" show. Too much potty talk (literally, potty talk). Bedtime.
