On Day 2, we drove into Capitol Reef National Park. We spent time in the orchards, we walked the boardwalk to check out the petroglyphs, we visited the pioneer school house (thanks a lot Michele!), and then ate lunch at the picnic area. After lunch, the kids played in the river and we ended the day hiking Captiol Gorge to "the tanks" (natural pools of water in the rocks). Even the drive to the trailhead was incredible. It felt like the Narrows for cars with huge cliff walls on either side of the road. Such a beautiful park.
