Seeing as this is the last week of school, Ashleigh slept in and went late for Yearbook Day. On the way to school, she told me she would need a note even though most teachers are not even taking roll today. She couldn't find any paper in the car, so I told her to write the note on her hand and I would sign it.
The note seemed pointless on a day like today, so I figured we could at least give the secretary something to laugh about.
Apparently the secretary didn't think we were as funny as we thought we were. She informed Ashleigh that this would not count as a note and that I would have to call the office to excuse her absence.
Oh well. At least, Ashleigh and I had a good laugh.
Never mind the unexcused absence.
